About the drum racks, just go to google.com and type in Titan drum reviews, and there should be a site where a person critiques the 5000 series drum rack. I believe, if I remember correctly, that the person was VERY happy with the rack. I purchased a double pedal, and I know that their stuff does not come with directions. That is one down side. Hope this helps.

Thw drums aren`t bad if you can get a bass drum that doesn`t have the plies seperating. I bought the
M5 in the brown fade. I had 3 bass drums sent to me, and finally had to sell the whole kit for a loss. The seams were coming apart or the outer ply would seperate in various spots making the shell weak and unusable. The toms and snare weren`t bad and the stands were of pretty good quality. Customer support totally sucks. I couldn`t get a name or number out of anyone jut the initials "baj". In almost 2 months, I never got a chance to play these. I can send the emails if interested. Try to find someone who deals in Stagg or the Rocklands. Don`t give these idiots any of your money.

I looked at the Titan`s on Ebay...and they do look like a pretty good quality kit. I think the thing that everyone must keep in mind, is that there are only a hand full of plants that actually make drum shells, and hardware. So chances are, you are buying a Pearl, Tama, DW Pacific, or Ludwig shell when you buy this kit.

For example, I bought a set of the Milwaukee Drums, Americam Craftsman series 9 ply Birch kits (check them out at www.milwaukeedrums.com). Paid $499 for a 5 piece with snare stand, Hi Hat, and cymbal stand...no throne. All I can say is....Sa-weeet kit! Bombproof hardware!, warm and resonant as Hell, and the Cream color looks great under lights. But being skeptical about buying a $499 drum kit...before I laid down the cash, I called the company. I was informed that this is the same shell that is used for the DW Pacific, and Pearl Birch kits...sold!

The Milwaukee kit is only $100 more than the Titans, but are they better? With good heads, tuned and dampened, who knows. I do like the rim mounts, and the base drum pedal sure looks like a Pearl, or Yamaha! Hummmm! could it be the same, they just went right on the assembly line, while the ones stamped with a logo went left? Who cares! if you are happy with them, you made the right choice!

Enjoy

Hey ThunderRod, did you ever get your money back? The kits on Ebay have 5 year full warranty`s so I`m just shocked that the dealer didn`t give you your money back. Obviously their drums can be deemed not consistantly good, unfortunately

titan vs Export    05:23 on Tuesday, March 16, 2004

Some may call me crazy, but I actually sold my 6 piece export (older) for the M5 Brown Burst. I was a little sceptical after reading this thread, but to be honest, there really is no comparison.

Although you may have some quality issues witrh a lower cost company (splitting shells) I must say I have not come across any problems yet. The hardware is sturdy, the shells are in good shape (and perfectly round, and to top it all I can get 10x the sound out of them (quality, not quantity) than I ever could from my old Exports. The only downside I see to the M5 is that getting add-ons is tough in the brown burst finish.

E5 Titan set any good with new heads?    19:52 on Thursday, March 18, 2004

Hi. I`m a guitarist, but I`m looking to learn how to play the drums cause I wasn`t too bad the first time I sat down to my drummer`s set. I don`t care about how loud they are, cause I`m just going to use them for practice. I can only spend $280 on one, so I looked on ebay and found the Titan E5 for $277 including shipping. I love how it`s completely upgradable from the National Music Supply`s ebay store. Is there a better set for the price? Please help me out.

Thanks,
Joel

titans are good. my titan head has lasted a good while. through all of the banging i`ve done with it. and another thing, its a good thing we play drums. because if we stuck with the instrument we started with, school band programs would cancel. i mean talk about no musical talent WHAT SO EVER. just give me a stick and a pot and i`m doing just about all i can. just like the rest of you out there.

Don`t bother. NMS doens`t actually carry the Titan set. We just bought ours from them on Mar 16th, and they sent a cheap Coda set instead. I`m not getting much out of customer service, either. False advertising, IMHO, to send a Coda when a Titan was purchased. I`m really not happy with this company or their deceptive practices.

ok so tell me how the titans compare to the pearl export series? my set is totally mixed. remo drums, plus a 10" pearl export tom. sabian cymbals and some other brands i dont know what. and a mapex snare. i was wonder how cheap the titans/rockland set really is. also i was lookin at that tian 1000 drum rack and it looks pretty solid to me compared to the other stuff out there. looks accually better than and better price than everything i have seen. also i dont see any negative feedback hardly at all so why all the negative complaints if no one leaves negative?

i have been playing for a few years now and am looking for some warm toms

also im debating on purchasing a 10x10 and 14x12" pearl session series toms. i can get them for 145 dollars. is that good? THANKS EVERYONE.
