you can spend up to $60 on a set of drum heads, but they are kind of important so dont try to price shop on some used ones.

I have owned the Titan Pro series for year and a half. I finally saved enough to buy a new kit this summer so I am selling mine. I play A Zildjian cymbals and replaced the heads with Aquarian Texture-coated Studio-X heads. This kit sounds as good as any other set you can get for the price. I wouldnt recommend any Titan lower than the maple set though. The hardware is mediocre but heavy-duty which is good. I will say that for the beginner through intermediate player this set is definitely a step up. If youve never played a maple or birch kit, buy this kit, replace the heads, and you will be satisfied I think. I will tell you that I have sent back my floor tom and replaced it because the plys were de-laminating. Nothing serious yet but it could eventually become crap after a few years. I hope this helped.

Yeah, I just ordered the 5 piece Titan Set, and received a CHEAP CODA set. Do not be fooled by the Auctions on E-Bay. I`m starting to wonder if National Music Supply even carries Titan Drums?? Others have complained, and if you`re thinking of buying from them, expect lousy customer service, and most likely a different set than expected! Because that`s EXACTLY what I got, a different set.

I just received my "Titan" set from National Music -- except they sent CODA instead, as some others have complained here. This was also an e-bay purchase. Does anyone know anything about the CODA brand? The comments so far seem to indicate it`s inferior -- can you tell me more? I need to decide whether to send them back for a refund.

I bought the 7 peiece set on Ebay too, and yes, it comes with the hi-hat & crash cymbals. I`m selling mine because I live in an apartment now and can`t play it...If you`re interested in it you can e-mail me at 17559@comcast.net.

What is the difference between normal AA Zildjian symbols and ZXT Zildjian symbols?
