I`m confused as crap. Some people say buy `em some people say don`t.
Also, everyone`s sayign that they changed the heads on their Titans. If anyone has actually stayed with the original heads, how did they last?

i am a drummer and i have been playing for about 3 years and i have been playing my friends drumset the whole time. i like playing heavy meatal so i love the set big so i have seen this 7-piece titan drumset (seems pretty popular) and i am not sure if i should get it or not it is about 370$. i have figured out that you should replace the heads and the cymbals but is it worth it to just get a tama set for 300$ more that doesnt come with cymbals? i mean i know that tama has a good name and it is good quality but like i said i am not sure if it is worht it for 300 more $ if anybody could help me out that would be awsome you can just post it on this site or e-mail me at lickitwithanger@yahoo.com

Ok, to clarify things a bit, no one above intermediate should buy a Titan set. From the sound of it, the sets do not last, that is, if you even get the right one. If you want a high quality setfor if you want to move up above intermediate, then look for a set other than Titan but better than pearl forum or export. Lastly, most truly professional drum sets are not advirtised for. Check out companies like precision drums, milwaukee or Basix. After my message, please continue the list of known excellent companies, thanks.

Has anyone looked at this kit! (its called m5bb - search in title and description on ebay) It looks like an awesome kit in the pro-m thingy but it`s only $290! Has anyone tried this kit recently? I`ve read some comments by others and one says they split horribly, and the other says they`re fine. I`m looking for an upgrade because our band is gigging now. My other kit is a sunlite beginner, which is in way worse condition and value than even the titan beginner series. Someone please help me out!! Our band leaves in three weeks!!

I looked at the titan 7 piece set on ebay for a while, but had an unsettled feeling in my gut about them. Look close at the lugs and mounting arms on the 7 piece, the smaller toms don`t match, I know, cosmetic but shouldn`t a set look like it was bought as a set and not thrown together, hodge podge. I asked there cust. support a few questions but still not convinced. While still looking I ran across another brand, HB (hbdrums.com), they have birch shells and low prices. I got a 9 piece kit for $525. The hardware is okay but I sold it and bought a Gibraltar rack. I don`t know about the cymbals but read a review about HB and they said the drums were great but the cymbals were really weak. The heads on my set are okay

Sorry, I cut myself short. The heads on my set are okay but could stand to be replaced, when I can afford it, and I already have cymbals. Hope this helps.

we got a 7pc higher end set and i agree its not the best but it has a nice sound for the money its very nice. we got a tittan pro seris for our drummer to have at his house so we have no worries about moving anything around.. if you ask me a $1100 set and an $800 set will work at least for now..

Lesten people, You can take any drum set and put a little work into it and make it soung like a $2000 set. Most of your sound depends on the quality of the inside of shells, I took a CB 700 $125.00 set took all the hardwareff the shells and varathaned the inside of the shells with about 10 coats and replaced the heads with evans and paste cymbals, tweeked a few other things and the sound was excellent, so just find a good drummer or music store and ask them how to make em sound better. Here is another deal, musicansfriend.com has a nice ludwig accent 5 pc
set for for $349.00 and a Accent add-on tom set for $139.99 and you have a great kit for a lot lkess. I have been buying from them for years now and no complaints.
Hope it helps, Rock on.
