Could someone please look at these and email me at fierythornbushes@gmail.com to tell me if they are any good? I have been playing drums for about a year and I need to get a set, having next to no money I need to find a good, affordable set. Please guys, thanks.

I have a 5 piece Titan set and it is good for what you pay for it. The first thing i did was replace all the hardware with tama and pearl stuff (double pedal, hi hat stand...) Then i replaced the cymbals and then the heads and it came out pretty good.

Titan drums, are actually rockland, and they are an ok starter set, but for the money, and if you want good quality, birch drums, look at HB drums. They even come with a 1 year, waranty. They sell on Ebay also, they offer free shipping also. This is one heck of a kit, yo9u can get the cheeper wrapped shells or you can get hand rubbed laquerd shells, but all in all you can`t go wrong with an HB drumkit from surfcitymusic.

In short, yes. I have played drums for 20+ years now and have had my Titan m5(maple)set for over 2 years, and they sound great and have held up fine. As most others have pointed out the heads needed to be replaced and I put Evans G2`s on the toms a Remo Ambassador on the snare and Aquarian for the bd. The toms have a nice warm sound, the bd is punchy and the snare is crisp and snappy, just the way I like it. I didn`t buy their cymbals and have Paiste 2002`s and Paiste 1000 heavy hats.
Anyway I bought these when I was looking for a maple set to replace my Tama Rockstar kit. The Tama Starclassic shell pack was out of my price range, and I found these on eBay for $290 WITH hardware.
My experience with National Music Supply was positive. I received the kit within a week, it was well packed but I still had two problems. The bd shell was separating and a boom stand was missing. They responded to my first email with instructions on shipping the bd back prepaid and 10 days later I had a new bd and 2 new boom stands.
Overall I believe their a great kit for the money.

I was looking for a set to replace my Vintage `70 Ludwig set, and after the heads were replaced, and a nice set of ZXT`s they sound really good, the hardware isnt bad, and the maple mahogony shells are just as good as anything else out there. You kids buying sets for the name need to stop and look at how sets are built and how they compare. These Titan (pro) sets are awful close to pearl, or tama sets that ive played. And for the price, you cant go wrong.

i received my 7-piece wine set today, set it up, tuned my drum heads (put some remo pinstripes on the 3 low end toms 13", 16", 18" (the 18x16 floor tom i bought extra) and i am AMAZED with the result. i will replace the other 3 high toms soon.. they came out very nice. the heads do need to be tuned, but once i got them like they needed to be, i was extrememly satisfied. the hi-hat cymbals are excellent, and im not sure about the 14" and 16" because they`re missing... but i emailed them to see what happened with my order. overall, i am very happy with my new set, and so is my 3 year-old little boy... i would highly recommend these!!

i was looking at the titan 7 piece but i wanted somthing w/ double bass. so after a litle research i found a wounderful litle 12 pc dbl bass seet for 1200 on ebay. 5 min later i found out the supplier is hbdrums.com. looking at these sets they seem to be alot higher quality and are about the same price. the 12 pc on ebay was a bit cheaper from the actual supplier. but i ve decided to go w/ the 9 pc w/ an extra bass drum and it comes with a free 6" tom. so im gettin a 11 pc drum set for about $800 and the best news of all FREE SHIPPING. this company offers FREE SHIPPING for the entire continental US.

i`ve been reading reviews on the titan drums from national music supply on ebay. Now i have mixed feelings. OK, change heads and cymbals i get, but i am a beginer and honestly wasn`t looking to be the greatest drummer. Basicly i need a set just to pound on whenever i get a chance or feel like playin. i am also set to about a 550 limit, a little help would be appreciated THANX

ok bobay you got $550. rather than gettin a titan set you should look at HB Drums. thay are cheaper than titans and all they are is YAMAHA over stock that has been bought out by HB and new logos have been put on them. HB makes like %5 on their sets were titan is a company that is trying to make their own drums. never should anyone by drums with plywood shells. the reason people are talking about their drums splitting is because plywood isnt made to handle the vibration. oh and mary... titan drums dont come with cases... just cardbored boxes. oh and remember that HB DRUMS also have FREE SHIPPING!!!!

probably okay for practice    14:52 on Friday, April 15, 2005

I`ve also been considering a Titan drum set from fleabay. Until recently I had a drum kit on loan but no longer have them. I`m mainly a guitar player and it`s convenient to have a set of drums in my practice room so that they are always available for jamming, and I played the set I had quite a bit myself. Now, my living room just doesn`t look right with the big empty spot where the drums once were...

I`m a little concerned about the issue of these so called plywood shells splitting, but for the price, I don`t think I could go too terribly wrong, so I`ll probably give them a try. I think replacing heads is probably something that drummers do from time to time anyway, whether it`s a cheap set or a $1200 dollar one. And I`ll probably end up buying some Paiste or Zildgean cymbals. As long as these don`t fall apart, I`ll probably be happy. The CB Internationale set I had on loan was literally falling apart, on the bass drum, entire tuning lugs were just popping off left and right, and they were supposedly a $500 set???? Back to Titan though - I like the set with the `roto toms`, I`ll stop back by after I get them and let everyone know what I think...

Ok. this is for the the kid with $550. to burn. go buy Tama Rock star, pearl, or ludwig, Titan i guess are ok but, with that much money to startwith you might as well start out right, stay way from low end cymbals, try Paiste, sabain, i dont like ziljdans, had bad cracks at bell on mine, i have paiste 2000 color sounds series, had them for 12 years they still sound great and no cracks yet!and i hit kinda hard!but thats in the dynamics of some metal! LOl hope i helped!
