If you buy directly from National Music Supply, you wont have to pay for shipping. Dont use Ebay as they charge shipping. I bought the new set for $179 including free shipping.

titan is not worht any some of money either is vex they are poorly made in china out of the cheapest wood you can think of of. dont let them fool you and say it is good just cause its made out of maple. the maple has probably been rejected everywhere and titan buys it for probably 50-75 cents a square foot if that. not to mention the hardware on this stuff it is the worst stuff i have ever seen trust me it is not worth it to buy junk. just cause people say it sounds great with new heads does not mean a thing most of the time people who buy titan are beginning drummers and do not know what tone quality to look for in a drum. look on www.musiciansfriend.com then search pacific drums then click on fs series they are about 750 bucks but in the long run they are worth it. here is why: pacific is made by drum workshop the best drum co. in the world unlike titan pdp is all from california which means the wood that is used to make dw collector series is the same wood that is used to make pdp`s.

I bought a set, the snare is not the greatest, and they forgot to include the instructions. But for the price and being a beg. they are o.k.

decent set for the green    10:44 on Wednesday, May 18, 2005

the hardware on the set is pretty decent, bought the mid priced set in red ordered the 7 piece, and at the same time added on a second bass. The add on bass drums you have to go bigger or smaller, so i went for the 24, also added the 18" floor tom and 3 additional toms. I picked up a dw 5000 for my main pedal and went with a sabian b8 pro cymbal pack. There hard ware is pretty decent. THE SNARE SOUNDS LIKE TIN. USE THE DEAD RINGER ON IT. The shells are a little thin especially on the additional bass is a thin 5 ply. Looking at what i have for the price now, an 11 piece drum set with sabian b8 hihats, 18" crash, 10" splash 16" med crash, 16" med crash, and 20" ride, with a sweet dw main pedal all for just at $1000. It is an awesome deal. The drums sound good, need to replace or tweak the snare, the 18" floor BOOMS! ALL in all would I buy another, i might look around a little more not fond of the bass drum bracing but overall the finish looks good no real problems have been jamming on them for 6 months. I did have one crack on a tom i didn`t send it back would have cost about the same to ship it back that they asked me to do than just buy another one, go figure. No hard feelings though, just shipping is too much money. Good luck and yeah if you need a cheap set go for it, just buy some good cymbals and you will be all set.

i got the pro maple set and they sound great! the price is perfect. i owned a mapex m series and tama rockstar kit before this and i can honestly say that the titan`s give the others a run for their money. i switched out all the heads to aquarians and the sound is incredible. wouldn`t think twice about recommending them!

I bought the 7 piece, amber laquer, replaced all heads with remo pinstripes, and ebonys. They sound Just as good as my Vintage vistalight ludwigs, and BETTER than my pearl set. Anyone who is wanting to start or have a kickass set get them......

I need a new drum set to record with.    13:10 on Tuesday, September 27, 2005

My current drumset was found in my dad`s co-workers garage. He didn`t know he had it, so he let me take it for free. It`s a Pearl something, either forum or the other one (not the top of the line), I don`t know, I`m mainly a guitarist. There was a dead rat in a bag lying next to the drumset and he threw that out, so now I`m missing some hardware that was in that bag. It has no legs to hold up the bass drum and I have the 3rd tom propped on a folder chair. I have a ride, but no stand. I want a double bass pedal too.
I`m thinking of getting a 7 piece titan off ebay. I`m thinking that even though they`re real cheap, it`s got to be better than what I have now.
I`m just wondering: is there a certain set I should get, is it going to sound good enough to record with (I`m recording a solo demo in a few weeks), and will it crap out on me in a few months.

Thanks!

-Adam
