I have never done quads before and I am going into marching band next year and I want to try out for quads but I dont know how to read the music for them!! Sometimes I a staff with three lines and a staff w/ the regular 5 lines but I can only guess which drum to hit when I see a certain note. Can anyone help me?

well, its pretty simple really, i had the same problem, but quickly figured it out, the highest note on the staff would be your smallest drum, and the lowest note, would be your lowest drum, then some simple counting should fill in what the other drums would be

I played Snare in 8th grade (im in 9th this year) and I switched to Tenors this year. I thought that It would be very difficult to do because I was used to playing with one drum and now im playing with 5!! But the more we practiced the easier It got. Im working on getting a scholarship for snare though..

I had to play bass for 3 straight years. That is a crisis. I have finally reached the top playing tenors now, though.
