i just received a Mapex M Birch 7-piece kit, and am quite pleased, the toms get really deep for their sizes, the bass drum is a cannon, and with a little dampener (in my case weather stripping) the snare is fantastic, great cross stick sound, good for rock, metal jazz, anything you want, but the point of this whole thing was, i was wonder if there are any other Mapex players on this site, who are as pleased with their kits as i am.
