Does anybody besides me get called a nerd or geek for being in band? I think they're just jealous because we can something they cant.

It will always be the same, we will always be called geeks or/and nerds. IT'S FACT!! though they are just gealous, we can do something they can't, and it really bugs them all, especailly the sporty ones!!

i really don't care... i've been called a STAR WARS geek like my entire life, so band geek might just be a step up from that.

Yeah, and I'm sometimes called a band geek by fellow band members, but its all in good fun. My brother calls all the band people "bandies" cause he doesn't like them.

They are jealous. They realize how tight we are, and want the same thing.

of course their jealous lol. but just ignore the fools. Some day they will be flipping burgers and you'll be making it big in some fancy orchestra or band.

theyre gelous caus we miss out on school work doing band camp,extra practices and going on tour

seriously! even my friends call me that! they are so jealous! my friends are all cheerleaders though... so that might be it.

yea no kidding! they are jealous. I myself haven't been called one though.

even if we r geeks id rather have great friends that can help me out cause we're so tight because we share a common intrest in music and have great grades and have the option to pursue a musical career if i wanted to than be a jock and end up working at mcdonalds or eating at a soup kitchen so i think being a band geek is a great thing to be

People in bands are awesome!!! ACDC is an awesome band, and people don't call them nerds. Their just jeleaus because we can do something they can't, and we should be proud in our musical talent and abilities!

Actually, at our school, our band is like a cult.
We easily have the most fun out of any group in the school.

But we do get the 'geek/nerd/loser' comments a lot.

Oh well. It's easy to get over when 120+ people come to your aid and trample down the offender.
