i found this on drum-world.com look what this guy wrote advising guitarists how to get a good drummer.

"1. Pay us all money. Good drummers are in demand and need cash. No one wants to haul their !***! around for $10 at a !***!ty venue like big v's.
2. Hang out in drum shops. Yes you dumb asses, don't hang out at twin town or willey's...drummers don't go there.
3. No good drummer wants to hang out with your "attitude" because you learned to play four or five strings. Try playing four limbs at once with different beats and you'll understand how hard it is. Most of us have a piano background so !****! off.
4. Don't talk down to us...we hate you and will leave.
5. Don't tell us how to play...I don't tell you how to play.
6. Don't tell us what pedals to use...we don't tell you what pedals to use.
7. Don't look at us on stage, or worse, yell at us on stage because you don't think I played a part incorrectly...remember...we hate you and chances are, we are better musicians than you.
8. Don't underestimate the power of a good drummer..it usually makes or breaks the band. Who's more important?
9. Find a good drummer and ask him for referrals...good drummers hang out together and know each other.
10. Your not that good...leave your f'in ego at the door.
11. Good, and great drummers are out numbered by guitar players substantially because of the cost and difficulty to play the drums well. Your up against it if you think that just because you can play guitar somewhat well that you deserve a great drummer...it just won't work that well."

ha dont know about you guys but this definately made me laugh cause most of this is veryyyyy true. if not all of it.

keep in mind if your not a set drummer you may not be able to relate as well..

Ohhhhh I can relate very well! A good find; I see that most of these things are indeed true. First and foremost though, I find the most important thing is working with a guitarist who is a song writer and sees you more as a percussion consultant or advisor, an equal rather than "the drummer." That is to say that they assume you know your crap just as well or better than they know theirs, and they are resigned to the fact that you will know your crap way better than they will.

haha yes thank you this is so true, guitarists think that we don't know anything about music when they're the ones who will stop playing if you stick a sheet of music in front of them!!!
XD very good.
ask the next guitarist you see what a Neopolitan chord is...

I play both drums and guitar, but I play drums in a band. I don't know about you guys, but the band just lets me play whatever beat I want and they let me do my own thing, so everyone agrees!
