If you are using matched hands your first stroke is normal, let the stick rotate back into the flesh between your thumb and forefinger for the 2nd stroke (back stick), and then let the front end slip and rotate forward between your 1st and 2nd, or 2nd and 3rd finger for the 3rd stroke. The stick then rotates back into your matched grip (but this time the butt is forward first). Practice single hadned slowly with each hand, then practice alternating the hands in groups fo three and individually.
