You kow what this is a very stupid topic. Iv`e been reading through some of this and it makes no sense. Basisally a percussionist is a drummer. Iv`e been playing percussion for 7 years. I`m starting the drums and it`s not all that easy. You have to have fast feet and some rythum (which you should already have). Sounds like to me that your judging drummers when we pretty much do more and are required more. I`m not saying that drummers are better than percussinists. If you think that your just stupid.

drummergirl....your absoloutly right about this being a stupid topic,drummers are indeed the same as percusionists(ushally drummer*will* be more talented than normal percussionists because you have to pretty much learn at least the snare befpre moving on to a drum set)..

So, you all are saying that the different is that a percussionist can beat on a range of things, and a drummer can only beat on drums? btw, if you don't even play the drums, then you should say anything.
