Mapex- M series or Pereal Export

I deciding to purchase a new drum kit and my budget is £500 or (around $600)
I cannot decide between a mapex m series or a pearl export.
Please do not be fooled to vote for pearl over mapex just because they are a branded name.
I`m simply looking for the best quailty of sound and look

I would go with the Mapex expecially there new M series is all Maple and is a very good set for the price you pay. I have found in my looking for a drum set some places you are just buying the name (even though they are good drum sets) Mapex you get more for your money. Mapex just isnt known good enough yet, so go witht the Mapex  ! SMILE, Have a nice day!

joe, take als advice, go with the mapex. if i had enough money for either one i would definately go for the mapex because of the quality. sure pearl has great quality, but i myself prefer mapex.
