I`m planning on buying a marimba, but I don`t understand what it means by A440 and A442. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two? Thanks

the difference is the tuning, 440-hz is the universal, but i own a marimba that is tuned to 442 hz and love it, musser and yamaha use 440 hz, while adams and vancore use 442 hz. the hz doesn`t make a difference if for practice, but if your planning on buying a marimba buy a musser and buy it from www.wwbw.com they have great deals and usally sell around wholesale
