I`m a bassist piano player and I`ve gotten my share of the drum set too, but never studied them, per say. I know that there is a staff and notation for percussion and drum set that has general rhythems in them. I compose music and have participated in a composition contest once and wasn`t sure what I should do for the drum part. Should I write in my own drum fills, or just write on top of it "fill?" It would be very benificial in the future to have the correct form.
