I am looking for some extra hard bell mallets. Has anyone tried Dragonfly Percussion? I saw them on the Steve Weiss Music website.

If you haven`t checked out their site yet, they have thousands of sticks and mallets.

dragonfly mallets are great... I have a pair of each, but if you are looking for "extra hard" they are DEFINITELY wrong.

It dosent get any more hard than brass. Most brass mallets are pretty much interchangable sound-wise, so buy based on which type of handle you feel more comfortable playing with (rattan, fiberglass, birch)

All my mallets are from Innovative Percussion. They`re by far the best. I have the James Ross series medium brass bell mallets and they`re great, especially if you`re looking for something that hard. They`re a little heavy, but easy to get used to playing with. I wouldn`t get anything bigger than medium though. Here`s a link to them. You can also chek them out at www.innovativepercussion.com.
