The movie drumline is the worst movie of all time. And if u can`t figure that out `you shouldnt be a percussionist. If you WERE a percussionist you would know that drumline is just ghetto wannabe drumming. now, all the lil freshman at my high school that rty out for snare try and do drumline junk.ITS SO pointless.And to whoever was supposedly (in the movie): i dont care if uve been in a movie.nobody does so y bother bringing it up?my drum major was in little rascals.ur prbly thinkin so?so we dont care who was in a movie and who wasnt.In short drumline the movie sucks....dont buy it or its sheet music if u have already bought ether,burn em.peace.

aight people the only thing that matters in playin the drums is if you love playin them, you can play, and the crowd. k one thing they don`t care about the perfect hits or slap sticks or nuttin they want somethin that sounds cool and has a fresh beat like no one else has see i`ve been a drummer for six years and gone to tons of parades and the crowd loves the newer cadences not the classic ones yeah those are good for after you get tired cuz they are easy. see the cadences off drumline are fresh yeah they might be easy but the crowd loves them any real drummer should know that and plus since their easy they sound sweet and you`ll look sweet cuz yur playin the music . drummers make up their own beats anyways so if you don`t like the caences off drumline make up yur own and if yur teacher don`t like them well theres yur sign people like the drumline cadences better k. but the sheet music i`m sure i could get i got it down from just hearing it so know i have the whole thing memorized k see ya people bye.

Ey, the movie drumline WAS retarded but the music was cool. You stike me as one of those wannabe percussionists that brag and bitch and nag about how easy music is but then step up to play it and can`t handle it. hey i play clarinet and our band is really awesome at school. we play all of the music off of drumline. our moto is one band one sound and i think that it`s true because you have one band and then you have a whole bunch of sounds but when you play together you have on sound all together.so if you are in band email or im me. thanx.

Okay, as a semi-professional percussionist, studying music in college....I am going to give my feedback on the movie. You can either except it or rip on it all you want, I could care less. The movie is the most over rated show i have ever seen. As a member of an outdoor marching group, and an indoor marching percussion ensemble, I believe it negatively represents the true meaning of being in a drumline. Being one group, coming to play with precision with hundreds of hours of work a year is what a drumline is. It is not a group of people "laying down" fat grooves for people to dance to in the stands, thats what a rock concert is for. For people that dont know anything about drumlines and think that the movie is awsome, please do yourself a favor and check out the Cadets, Blue Devis, Boston Crusaders (quad line) and than tell me what you think of the movie drumline. I would be totally willing to discuss any arguments and agreements with anyone. Just email me. rhythymardor@aol.com

Hey...I know everyone asks this question all the time butour band director in olympia wont let us play a cadence unless its written down so im trying to find if anyone has a good writtten down score of the drum cadences in the A&T and Morris Brown showoff at the end of the movie....It would be great if someone could give me this stuff...and i really dont want to hear about how much the movie sucks...from anyone!!

i don`t mean to criticize the movie or anyone who likes the movie, but the movie drumlines objective was to show the public that drumming can be cool. it wasn`t to show other drummers that we can be cool cuz we already know we can. if the movie was about the blue devils or my favorite santa clara vanguard then alot more people would never want to see it and high school drumline still would be classified as "uncool" being uncool dosen`t matter to me but its nice to be respected. my advice learn the drumline stuff to impress ignorant people, and do the harder more interesting stuff for yourself. the movie wasn`t for us it was for the public
