my band has a "large" drumline, but they, yes they can play snare or zilaphone. of course I play the trombone(which I think stinks.) my band director is making me play the trombone.
if anybody has a solution please reply.

my school has 2 snares, (ones graduating this year and im prolly moving up) 5 basses and 2 tenors (prolly 3 next year). were really small considering if no one is bumped up a drum, therell be 5 basses 1 snare =/ and 2 tenors... the second largest band in our area has 3 snares, 2 tenors and 5 basses, and the biggest band (Concord) has 9 snares, 5 tenors, 6 basses... theyre good as *hell* too, they have 1 cadence/year but have a lot of drum only *stuff* they play, but the cadence is just for the field and marching and stuff. our band has 4 cadences, 2 from our director, one that our current section leader wrote last year and we play get up off that thing... HUH! LOL! really want some new stuff cause everyone hates our current cadences except the one our leader wrote but no one can play cause we suck, but i think if i replace some basses we can play some scv bassline stuff

My Drumline has this cool thing where the Seinor make up a cadence every year. So we have 14 cadences that are home grown.
Some of them are really sweet, they feature things like quad solos with crossover sticking and we have snare cadences with crazy hard parts. I think that other drumlines should try this method too its cool!
