I`m in a beginners band class playing the trombone in my junior year of hs. now i wanna try a percussion instrument and i choose the quads because it looks cool to play them really fast. i wanna know if anyone has tips on how to build up speed to play them. is it possible to play good in one year because i wanna play it good for my senior year of hs. thanks a lot

I took lessons on how to play quads a little while ago so I could teach my drumline players.
My teacher told me slow and steady at first then speed it up.
Works wonders.....after two weeks I was able to play the quads fast enough to teach my kids.
