When I was in high school (PV, IA), we had two excellent female snare drummers. We also had two excellent female tenor drummers. They`re out there!

I was a snare drum player in high school---section leader to be exact on an ALL MALE percussion team---so there are girl drummers who are good.....

hey im a girl and i love to play drums. especially tenor and snare. im in 8th grade but in the high school drumline so that kinda proves im dedicated. im trying out for snare this season and trust me, im not gonna drop out or quit. im totally determined. i dont know where you live, but here, i see a lot of girl snare drummers and tenor players.

i`m a guy but i have a girl on my drum line thats really good

our section leader (senior) is a girl and has been on snare since freshman year (there was no seniority cause our school is 4 years old this year) and shes the best player on our line

I play snare but i am only just learning. I am originally a trumpeter and helped out my band`s drum corp. i loved it and eventually became a permanent drummer in the corp (all three of us).
In Australia there isn`t many female snare drummers or drummers in general that march, but most of our marching bands are either proffessionals in the police/army or small community groups which means we mostly have military marching. I am in the only corp style marching band in all of South Australia.

Man im an awsome snare drummer. I play the guitar, the piano, the snare, and the bass drum. All r easy to play. Iv`e liked drumming since i was 5 years old. well i just wanted to say that i am a girl drummer and im good, and i know lots of other girl`s just like me.

I made snare my sophomore year and have better technique than the guys in the line. It was hard because all they do is put you down but if you really love something you can do it!

the drumline at my school was half girls.. and our whole tenor section was girls. girls make great drummers!

I`m a sophomore, female drummer in my highschool-
I`m section leader, play snare in one honor band, mallets in another... the whole thing.
Girls can kick butt on snare, too!
Don`t let the guys tell you it`s too hard and you can`t play- just because percussion is a generally male-dominated instrument is no reason to be intimidated.

If it helps I got a scholarship to UW-Madison and am one of the head snare players in their marching bank...and yes I am a girl.

Ok well i don`t play percussion.I`m a flute but everyone in the band can tell u that our snare player is a girl and she rox!!! We also yhave girls on tenor and she`s my best friend so she`d kill me if i didn`t say she rocked.

I just wanna say,...I`m a girl freshman and I have played tenors AND snare...Also I`m the captain at my school so it is VERY possible for a girl to play drums and not suck...I`m also the drummer in the jazz band and I was 1st chair in the whole district...in conclusion i wanna say...FEMALE FRESHMAN SNARE DRUMMER ROCK!!

I play tenor pretty good. Im actually a beast mallet player though. Because i`m a girl alot of the guys get jealous cause i play better than them
