Hey guys. i just joined drumline and made the team but my instructor said i needed to work on my sight reading. Any help would be great!

well i suggest that you pick up some easy material that`s new to you and try to read through all of it without stopping do this everyday and you should be able to get better. If all else fails, ask a friend to sit and if your rich hire someone!lol

if you don`t know how to sight read how come your school let you join the team?! it must suck crazy bad anyways can you even hold a drum?

Dont listen to these assholes. When u get a new piece of music(for marching/concert) take a minute and read over it real fast and notice the stuff that u might have trouble with(work it out in ur head). Then read it once in ur head(again)while humming the notes as u go, this is common practice for the blue devils. and pretty soon u will have it down better than everyone else and u will end up reading like a pro.
