I play soprano in band, jazz and concert. It`s hard to keep in tune, even a professional line, but I enjoy it. You get solos, and you have a unique sound that stands out. I think it`s a beautiful instrument, and you should definitely give it a go!

its S-O-P-R-A-N-O. It`s really a fun to play instrument, but i really don`t care for it`s sound. As previously said, it is hard to keep in tune, and for many people, it produces an overly bright, almost "ducky" tone. I wouldn`t recommend it to anyone who doesn`t already play alto or tenor or both, as it is the hardest to play, IMHO of all the commonly used saxes (SATB)
