Are you looking for a new one or a used one? Good new baris are usually upwards of $5k.

There is a reason why this horn is still made. IT IS THE PINNACLE BARI SAX! PERIOD! It continues to win player tests today. If you`ll notice, Yamaha has changed every other saxophone they make with the exception of this one. Again......This saxophone has the most even scale of any bari.....EVER! Low A`s pop out like a middle C. Nick Brignola even switched to this horn back in the late 80s after playing the same bari for years and years.
I`m telling you. Now that you`ve bumped up what you are willing to spend, stop dead in your tracks. Go here: http://www.wwbw.com And order this horn. You will not be sorry.

You know, I am going to have to agree with mvspur (...?) on this one. I play a Yamaha bari sax in concert band and it is one of the better baris I have played. You should look into that.
