I have a Selmer S-90 for classical, and a Vandoren V16 for jazz. I use a Rovner ligature for both.

as ridiculous as this may sound... i use a 3 rico reed with .5mm (millimeter) shaved off with a sharp knife

Whoa, Hunter, your post doesn`t make much sense at all. It was asking for the type of moughpiece, not reed; and how can you use 2 reeds together on a saxophone???

Alto - Meyer 6M (rubber)
Tenor - Otto Link STM 7* (metal)
I use Vandoren ZZ Reeds (#3s) and Olegatures on all horns.
