How is the brand LA Sax for tenor?

Yes, that is true Selmer is the best but it is the mos expensive as well. I have aselmer series iii soprano in silver. It is awesome. Yamaha is also preety good but it doesnt really have as lively sound as selmer.

For the LA Sax, very different style strictly jazz if you ask me, and some of the colors it comes in are cool too, but LA sax isn`t the best, but its okay, it`s more of a show sax for style. But Selmer though still tops this with its series 3 sax.

i agree as well, now i have a selmer series III soprano and it is the best of the best. Oh and if you bought your tenor for 7000 then you got ripped off. Use ebay to by expensive instruments. You can get them for really cheap. Just make sure that the person has good feed back. I can get a used 2 month old tenor series III for 2100 or less.

Actually reatail series 3 selmer, it went for 5100 but I got mine brand new custom engraving bell for 3500 at wwww.wwbw.com (the SUPREME website for sax shoping) however the only thing that may be a problem with it is, it takes a little while for it to warm up when it gets cold due to the metal its made of otherwise all selemers are fantastic.

i have played for many a years and have played all the top saxes and selmer is the best in the world that isnt customized for you individually. I am getting ready to purchase a yamaha because it plays almost as well and is much cheaper.
