I`m not a pink Floyd fan, cant help you there..... but the sound thing, you need to be a little more specific about the kind of "Tone" your thinking of for me to give you better advice but the NUMBER 1 thing that i can tell you that no matter what kind of tone your after is to play LONG TONES. And lots of em. Always warm up with long tones, cool down with long tones and play long tones anywhere in between. And DO NOT get into the mindset that you "need" special equipment such as a huge open tip mouthpiece or ESPECIALLY a "special" ligature. You should be able to get the kind of sound you want on any kind of mouthpiece, the only exception to this would be crappy "Stock" mouthpieces, but other than that, youll pretty much have "Your" sound from mouthpiece to moutpeice with mostly more or less projection and the like. So anyway "LONG TONES".
