They`re cheaply made in China and are of very poor quality. You get what you pay for. Soft, weak metal, fake leather pads, etc.

i`ve played a schill soprano and I thought it was alright. More of a beginnerish instrument, but not ot bad. Perhaps they`re like moniques on a lesser scale?

I own a Schill and for the money you can`t beat it. I looked at Soprano`s at our local music store; prices were high as $3,500. I paid $190 for the Schill. Was the $3500 model 17 times better, no! If you blindfolded a saxophonist and let him play a variety of soprano`s he/she would be astounded by the comparitive quality & sound of a Schill for the money. The only bad thing about the Schill is how much the people had to be paid who worked in the sweat shops to manufacture it.
