Try to keep your embouchure tight. That should help prevent leaks.

actually keeping your EMB tight to prevent leaks? doesn`t really solve the real problem.
Most people squeak during the octave mechanism G/A transition when the pressure changes. This can be alleviated by pinching which prevents the reed from flattening out and squeaking in a way. But if you move to a harder reed it does about the same thing w/o the pinching part.
also, practice helps alot.
