Hello everyone.

I`ve been playing trumpet for 5 years now, and while it`s enjoyable, I would like to try out a sax. I`m a freshman in HS, and our directors giving us an oppurtunity to switch instruments for concert season.

Is this even possible? Thanks.

I`d say it`s very possible. I am a sax and trombone player (sax for 7 years, trombone 2 1/2 years). I started trombone january or my freshman year, and now i`m in the top jazz band at our school (and third best jazz band in the nation at Essentially Ellington jazz festival in New York). I have toured Europe with my trombone playing. You can definitely make the switch.

i also think it is possible but u have to want it really bad and be willing to practice everyday ive played sax for two years but it took a lot of practice
