i play tenor sax right now and was wondering if it would be really hard to switch to tuba. i played t sax for 6th and 7th grade and it is the begining of 8th now. i would be behind the band for awhile but its what i really want to do. is it possible?

I play tenor sax, trombone, and tuba (among others). Though I already learned trombone so I knew how to play brass, it was a very easy switch. I made it to the top wind band at my school in less than a year. You can do it. Just practice and work hard (but keep up the sax, people want more sax players than tuba players).

Actually, I think it`s just the opposite-
People want more tuba players than sax players.

well, thats just been my experience.
