Why Can`t I Play?

In jazz band, we are playing a piece called Moanin. I play straight through for about 36 measures and then rest for a 32 measure solo. Then I solo for 32 measures and as soon as I`m done soloing, I play the hardest part of the piece. This part of the piece is really important (and no one else can play it). Last week, during practice, my mouth gave out or something and I wasn`t able to play anymore. Is this normal? What should I do about it?

some people that are usualy from the age 12-15 develop a tumor on the mouth which is a result of playing too much with improper emboucher. the only way to clear this up is to drink your own urine for the next 14 days. if you dont do this then you will expierence this more frequently. also i have heard that a mouthpiece coated with bromine will help solve this problem if you are unable to force yourself to the urine drinking. best of luck.

I believe he meant that his embouchure just gave out, and the muscles refused to form a correct embouchure.
The answer..... long tones. Strengthen your embouchure.
