has anyone ever tried a papper reed before? i made one durring english today because i got bored and when i played it in concert band it was amazing! every note poped out so easy and my tone was extreamly bright and could be picked out across the band. maybe next il try colored paper but im telling you, this is the new fad in reeds.

I don`t think that I belive you. That is like logically impossable. Your wood have to have really thick paper at the bottem and really thin paper at the lip. Also It is a band you as an individual are not supposed to be picked out.

the reed was extreamly hard to make yes, but i dont care about my other school subjects because one day i am going to be a millionare either by becoming a great saxophonist or an olypic bobsledder. every band needs a leader so i was asuming the position, maybe if one person becomes amazing the rest will follow. try to make one of these reeds yourself, you will find its not as difficult as you think if you know how far to trim it and where
