Hi Again,
I have a Yamaha sax but have found a leak behind 1 of the keys, is it expensive to fix? or is it a strip down, OR is it something that can be done at home. There are plenty of small screws at the end of the rods, do you just tighten these up?

If you bought your sax new chances are you can get it fixed free from the music store where you bought it from (Or possibly if its still in warranty and you know where the original owner bought it.)
The cost varies depending on the location and extent of the leak.

Be careful if you mess with your sax`s rods as they can break easily. This a big problem for Yamahahs but it can still happen.

I agree, the store would probably fix it for free, or it would be relatively inexpensive. I don`t know anyways to fix it by yourself though, sounds like a bad idea.

Took your advice, many thanks. My local dealer took the Sax in and for my troubles he is getting it serviced at half the cost (it was due anyway). Thankyou All
