I think im getting a new tenor sax for xmas and does anyone know if this is a good brand of sax? "Cecilio" Golden Lacquer Brass Tenor Saxophone

I don`t want this to come out hardsh but you should try looking around for known brand saxes(Selmer,Yamaha,etc.), because some repairmen won`t touch them. I would
look for a Yamaha YTS 23 since it is a great horn. But it`s up to you. Good Luck!

ya, i`d stick with known brands, such as Selmer, Yamaha, Keilwerth, Yangiswa, Conn, king, maybe a few others. Basicly, I second the guy above me.

hmm? didn`t quite get that, but yes, of course the known brands will be a bit more expensive, but it guareentes a sax that won`t fall to pieces or not work or a sax that the metal is so cheap if oyu try to heat it up again it`s ruined. It`s in your best interest to go with known saxes

this has a great warranty and i bought an alto same brand and works great no problems except the lagcuer but thats ok.

I want to get an alto fromt hose people, the silver sand blast one from ebay, its like 300 bucks, i want to know if its worth it, i want to know if it plays well, i want to know if its good for beginners, and i want to know if its going to fall appart or not. And if you can suggjest a cheap alto that is really good, PLEASE.

Also, i want to know if there is a sax thats good at jazz, cuz some brands are better at somethings, i know that from my experiance with the flute. Any suggestions bro?

my tenor from ebay(gold laquer) plays great but the case is real cheap.I would suggest one. Its called a Cecilio or something lyk that right?
