what is your favorite type of sax to play. personaly i love the Bari as you can tell by my user name.

tenor rules!

in jazz, a tenor, mainly because its range is unsurpassed. I'm mainly an alto player but when i do play tenor in a big band im in, i like it.

i think the bari has th largest range from low A to a trumpets middle c. not many people can do it but it is possible.

bari guy, if you were comparing ranges, it'd be a heck of a lot easier to 1)do it in concert pitch and 2)use the letter/number system (eg. C4 is middle C)

Im an alto man...range is one thing but what you can do with within that range is the important thing plus some of my fav sax players play alto eg. Charlie Bird, Candy Dulfer
