It`s probably not the saxophone, it`s probably your embochure or mouthpiece/reed situation.

that`s right. Sometimes it takes a bit to adjust to a new horn. Are you using a different mouthpiece than before you got the new sax? It could be that the piece that came with the new horn has a more closed facing that requires a stiffer reed.... or something. But yeah, a horn`s not gonna squeak and have nothing to do with your emburchure (no idea if I spelled that right).
When I got my Keilwerth, it did squeak on a couple notes that my old student models didn`t. Mostly the middle D. Actually it wasn`t really a squak. Instead of hitting a D, it would hit the A above that (Next note in the overtone series). This was just because I was so used to playing a crap horn that when i got to the good stuff I had to learn to kinda loosen up.
Anyway, hope this helps.

lol guys u gotta remember. there is a chance (which i believe is prolly a good reason y u sound bad) that your sax sux. if u want to sound good u gotta spend a bit of money. but since u have only been playing 7monthes then i would recommend getting a yamaha 23 sax off of ebay. they r cheap and awsome beginner horns. also the other problem may b u. 7monthes dude. thats not even close to long enuff to get a good sound. also experiment with reeds and mouthpieces. its never too early to start.

when I first started playing the sax I would squeak a lot from pinching the reed up onto the mouth piece.it took a little while but now I dont do it unless Im not paying attention to what Im doing

hey it is 99.9% chance its the reed what will really do it is a crack or the spacing between the reed and the mouth piece and it cant be the horn because un less a pad rotted out the mouthpice is what makes the soundso its gotta be somthing with thati use a plasic reed and theyre not ment to be left in the mouthpiece so every time i play i have to adjust the reed several times to not squeak
