What is the saxophone defined as?? I thought it was a woodwind, but I've seen it classified as a brass. Could it be a brasswind?? Anyway, some clarification is appreciated.

Thanks!!

Woodwind, as defined by Wikipedia, is an instrument whose sound is produced by blowing against an edge, or by vibrating a reed. As the name implies, some of these instruments were originally made of wood, but some, like saxophone and flute, are now made of other materials.

Woodwind it is.
