Hi everybody. Well you see, im in a bind and I came to this forum, because saxes rule and give good advice , because....well heres the situation.....Me and my arrogant friend got in this argument. The argument sparked when i decided to pick up the guitar....ever since i decided that (he plays too btw) hes been getting slightly big headed. And the arugument began when he told me to record a version of me playing Crazy Train by ozzy, and send it to him. So i worked at the song, and the very day i got it down, i recorded and sent it to him. So he signs on, tries to open it, and IM's me and says that it wouldnt open. HE, who seems to know everything, claims i didnt send it as an mp3, so he sends me a link to some mp3 format downloadalble thing....so i click it, and my computer froze, so i IM him back and tell him that my comp froze, but i would try again later (b/c it was already 1 in the morning). So he gets all !***!ed and goes "Ha! You just suck so badly you dont wanna send and ur sucky @$$ needs time to get better." So then, he decides to go criticize my band then, changing the subject, saying we cant play worth a $h*t, and that we're not original, we're just caught up in the emo/metal hype these days. We have been working on our album, which we want to include 13 tracks, and have 7 written out fully and developing more daily. His band, which he swears that we're trying to ruin, is only doing covers. And he says we're getting nowhere. Hes gotten to the point, where we now share a lead singer, hes asked her to sabotage our band, hes tried to sabotage me by cutting 3 strings off of my electric guitar while we were in class and i was outside. And he also insists that with our poor music production experience (which has been well over 3 years) is quote "void" compared to his (lol only 1 and a half yrs). So this is my question(s): Should i keep this guy as a friend? Should i fight fire with fire? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

Wow,well thats is really rude.
I can see him getting upset because i felt the same way when my best friend says shes gonna learn to play alto sax,because then shes gonna get better then me and i'm gonna be worse at her at another thing... but hes going a bit far.
some of that stuff is illegal...
theres only one word for what he is and i'm not allowed to write it on this site.

If he's acting like that then he's mot really being your friend...

Sorry about the whole situation.

If hes jealous because of your success, instead of supporting you, hes not your friend anyway. Ditch him. Continue your musical work. If he tries anymore "sabotage" then call the police.

i mean being jelous is one thing but this is another.
Jerk is to your friend as 911 is to your solution.
I'd call the police if he tries that game again.
