I got a mouthpiece a while back from them and it was fine. What have you heard about them?

Well I heard they just declared bankruptcy, so yea...that'll do it.

About a week or two, and it came in good condition and in a E. Rousseau box and everything. How recent was this "bankruptcy"?

WW and BW declared bankruptcy in Nov. of 2006, and the assets were bought up by Guitar Center the next day, and supposedly Guitar Center Inc. was going to buy the company. I am unsure about that but considering this happened 8 months ago and they are still not liquidating all of their stock, I am sure that it is safe to buy from them.

BTW if you have one and can, you should support your local music company over any online one, that is my 2 cents.

I would, but their prices are too high for even the lowest quality instruments. I find buying online much cheaper and a lot easier.

Also I got the mouthpiece in late March, so I guess it is safe to buy from WWBW.

Yes they will be more expensive, than huge companies that can afford to buy in bulk. My point being is if that we don't support them they will close, and when they close so will the repair services and student rental services, most of these places are geared toward young students, (for obvious reasons), and many of them play a big part in supporting local music programs. I have watched the decline of music in schools for some time now, (I am not saying that this is the root of the problem, but just another nail in the coffin for public school music) and it is very sad to see.

Sorry for moving away from the thread.

Try asking the music store if they'll order whatever it is for you; that way you'll support them and still get the brand thing you want...

Here's a summary of what Wikipedia said about WW and BW: The online store was renamed "Music123.com". There was a two-year legal dispute in 2004 after the company "terminated" Stephan and Richard Zapf. On November 21, 2006, the company filed for bankruptcy; within a few weeks, both Guitar Center and Seinway Musical Instruments offered for the purchase of WW and BW. "On January 16, 2007, Steinway announced on its Investor Relations page[4] its intention to terminate its asset purchase agreement with Dennis Bamber Inc. d/b/a/ Woodwind and Brasswind."

here's where I got this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodwind_%26_Brasswind

I think you mean that Brooks-Mays Music Educator's Supply has declared bankrupcy. I don't think that WWBW would need to declare bankrupcy, and hasn't been reported in any music magazines lately. WWBW, in my opinion, is the cheapest and safest way to buy on the web. They usually sell for about half the retail price, which is good because most music stores are way overpriced.
