hey. i've been playing alto sax for a few months now, but i can't produce any of the lower tones. and i am a 100% sure that i was able to do that in the start.
can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Your keys could be leaking. In that case, take it in and have the person at the music store look at it.

Your embature (sp??) could be too tight; loosen your mouth a bit.

You might not be blowing hard enough...

Try sticking your mouthpiece cap in the bell and then try playing the low notes...

Point your breath downwards, it helps with lower notes.
