In one of the pieces my band played, the director got hold of a rusty old brake drum and borrowed a ball-pin hammer from the shop teacher. ************GOOD TIMES************

Its easy. It depends what book you buy to learn i recommend accent on achievement. Cause i just started playing alto sax and it was a breeze! But practice! Overall its easy.....

well i had no problem playin the alto cuz it was like super easy but then when i switched to the bari sax i had a lil problem but it didnt take me long to get a hold of it

Well, I started on Alto Saxophone and found it quite an easy instrument to play.

The reed is easy to control, easy to play in tune, and easy to create dynamics.

I think it's a great instrument to start on, and if not for it, I wouldn't have started oboe.

between my main instruments(tpt,flt,sax) i would say trumpet was hardest for me, but that is because i was at the time a flute player, so sax fingerings came easy for me...

In my opinion it is one of the easiest. I play clarinet, bass clarinet, and oboe as well as sax and when I did pick up the saxophone it only took me 1 week without any lessons. The only really difficult thing about it is tunning, it took me a few years to get that.
