When i was in fifth grade my grandparents were cleaning out their attic and they found my uncles tenor sax and they let me have it. I'm a junior in high school now and i've been playing it in my schools band since then. I want to know what brand it is, it's pretty old and almost all of the plating on the outside has worn off. The only clue as too what it's brand is, is that there is an Indian head with three arrows through it on the bell. There are some lines and words that are lower down the bell than the indian head but i can't make out what they say. I'm trying to get some pictures of it so that you can see what i'm talking about

Sounds like one of those old Martins. I remember my saxophone teacher used to have some vintage horns. I can remember that musty smell whenever he would pull it out, probably from that funky case he kept it in. And as I recall it did have an engraving of an Indian head on it, why ........ who knows. Maybe it was related to some local custom where those horns were made.

His pride and joy was the Buescher though becuase of it's sweet tone.

regards,

Don
