ANYONE CAN ORDER AN OTTOLINK FROM MANY WEBSITES. VERY FEW CAN BUY A DOC TENNEY BLUEPRINTED OTTOLINK FROM VERY SELECT WEBSITES. IF YOU THINK YOU CAN TRY TO FIND HIM ON THE WEB GOOD LUCK. YOU HAVE GOOD, BETTER AND THE BEST. IF YOU WANT THE BEST YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. IT IS APPARENT YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED ON THE BEST. COMPARE A BUNDY 2 MPC TO A BOX OTTLINK - THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN REGULAR OTTOLINK AND A DOC TENNEY MPC. ONE DAY YOU WILL GET A CHANCE TO TRY AND YOU WILL SEE.

Man, you are right, they want some reall money for those Tenney`s. I don`t want to spend that much money. I just bought a used Otto Link Tone Master, can you tell me where the size is. There is a number under where you would put the reed and one on the otherside where it says Tone Master, Can you tell me which one says the size.

THE NUMBER SHOULD BE ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE MPC. WHAT TYPE OF LIG ARE YOU USING. THAT IN ITSELF CAN MAKE A GOOD MPC SOUND BAD. BEST BANG FOR DOLLAR IN MY OPINION IS ROVNER EDDIE DANIELS EDITION. I PERSONALLY USE THE FRANCOIS LOUIS ULTIMATE. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE IN YOUR AREA THAT DOES MACHINE WORK. YOU CAN HAVE THEM CHECK THE FLAT PLANE OF YOUR MPC. ME AND A FRIEND HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA WORK ON HOT RODS AND HE IS AN AWESOME MACHINIST. FOR SOMEONE THAT DOES NOT KNOW MUSIC OR HORNS HE TRUED A MPC FOR ME AND IT WAS GREAT. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR MPC AND HAPPY TOOTIN !!

Okay thanks. I am using a lig that came with it at the moment. I don`t know what kind it is, but it is very similar to the Vandoren Optimum series how it ataches the reed, and it works really good. Again thanks for all your help, you guys got me a great moutpiece.

ONE OTHER SUGGESTION DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU USE FOR REED BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIED THEM GET A BOX OF SUPERIALS AND GIVE THEM A TRY. BEEN PLAYING SINCE EARLY 70`S AND HAVE NOT FOUND A REED TO COMPARE TO THEM.

I have been messing around with some different types of reeds lately, but have not tried superials, but have heard good things about them. The best i have found yet are the new Vandoren ZZ`s they are awesome, have you tried those, how do they compare to the superials? They are by far the best I have tried.

What are the advantages of playing on a rubber than a metal. Which would you all recomend, i have been playing for about 4 years and am serious about entering a music school.

metal is basically for jazz playing, if you are not going to play jazz very much I would stick to a rubber. They do make rubber ones for jazz too, so if you are going to buy one for classical type music watch out.
