hello i'm roxy from the philippines, currently taking up baritone saxophone in the college of music at the university of the philippines diliman quezon city. i'm currently the only female baritone saxophone player, one of three baritone saxophone players in the metro manila area. it's paying off to be a lone wolf, i've been sessioning a bunch since i came here with this unique instrument.

i'm a girl bari sax player and i think i'm the only bari sax girl player in the county but prob not for long cuz my lil sis wants to play it

I'm a girl Bari player. I've been playing bari for 7 years now. Of course I started on alto but only for 2 years until I moved up to Bari. And I would never give up my bari.

Ok so i'm a girl, im five foot, and im the best in my district
I've been playing sax for 11 years and flute and bass clarinet each for one
This upcomming marching season i've been asked to march bari where in past years i marched alto and even bass drum (anything for that low sound, right? )... i dunno how im gunna do it but oh well!!

I'm not a bari sax player, but i was a mentor to a girl who plays bari.
At the time, she was an alto, but that's just because it was marching season (she's under 5 feet tall, so she can't play the bari on the field unless she finds a way to attach wheels to it XD)
We only have 3 baris this year, but I'd have to say that she's the best of them. ^-^

HELL YEAH!!! rock on... soooo...bari sax does rock exceptionally more when there's a girl playing, i had this honor thingy going on, and there were two other bari sax players (guys ) shocking, i know, but anyways...they both utterly and completely sucked. waaaaay worse than i was, and i thought i was the bad player at my school. no, there's not another bari sax player that i know of, then again, i don't see any other grades in my band room during the days. sooo i can't really judge that. SO! just wanted to tell you, you're not alone in the vast sea of female unknown bari sax players..

I'm not a Bari Sax player, but I know two girls who play it. One goes to a different school and was forced back to Alto >.<

I play the alto mainly but this year I got bumped up to Jazz Band and got forced to play the bari. I hated it at first but now I love it! I'm still having some issues playing the upper octave though, if anyone has any advice??

Also, I was watching a live Michael Buble video for Moondance and his bari player was a girl.

Plus, we have three girl saxes in our band (one is an alto, and the other plays alto and tenor) and another who plays alto in marching band.
