do you guys think it would be wise to purchase a piccolo french horn? I am really flexible instrument wise, and want one for fun. I have been playing tenor for 1.5 years, and clarinet for 6 years. I think they sound unique, and would love to play one, so what do you think?

A piccollo french horn is a single horn in the key of b flat alto. It's total length I believe is 4 1/2 feet, or there abouts. It will widen the partials so you have an easier target to hit the high notes.

Some may say there is no reason for one, but then I would steer them towards the famous horn makers who make double descant horns in Bb/f-alto, and Bb/bflat-alto.
