I own a yamahe tenor saxophone, like new, (the YTS-575 allegro), and wondering if I will need a better one for college... I love the Yanisigawa Bronze and the silver sonic, but way to expensive!

My information tells me the 575 is the first level pro model sax Yamaha makes. It should do you well through college.

The only excpetion would be if you become great! And if you want to go on to being a performer on Sax. In that case you will be drawn to other saxes regardless of what you go to college with, so this is probably a good bet.

thanks for your advice you guys, especially johnlovemusic, it makes me happy to know I won't have to buy a sax for college with my college fund, but I still think I want a Selmer or Yanisigawa...
