Hey everyone. I need some help on improving my intonation on Alto Sax. Been playing sax for about 6 years, and I have improved little by little over the years, but only on my own. I want to know what all of you players did to hone up your tone. What are some good techniques, exercises and pretty much all the other mumbo jumbo there is to know.
I just realized that I want to play music for the rest of my life. I love it. I feel it pulsating through my veins when I hear it. Now I want to have people listen to MY music, instead of myself being the listener.

Try playing with overtones, this is playing notes, say without the octave key, but up the ovtave and vice versa
try playing an F 2 octaves above middle C using the low b flat key, this helps with tuning, inotnation and gets you using the diaphraghm.
also long notes, as quietly as possible.
hope that helps
