The legendary Connstellation model designed in cahoots with Santy Runyon. Only produced for a couple of years in the early 1950s. Google it and you'll find a rabid devotion to these horns. It comes with about 75% of the original plastic keyguard and a repro guard beautifully made.
Neck is in good shape. No "egging." Double receiver is nice and round. Comes with a funky faux alligator skin covered case. (Faux alligators are no longer an endangered species, fyi.)
Needs a re-pad. Many torn pads. A few dings, nothing major. Easily addressed while it's getting new pads. You can see the worst under the high D key.
Lacquer is conservatively 75-80% there. It has darkened with age.
I'd prefer to sell it face-to-face here in St. Paul, Minnesota. But am willing to ship it here in the US for the actual shipping and insurance cost. I'm guessing around $100 or so.
USA Horn has one with a cracked guard, no repro, with admittedly better looking lacquer for $2300 or $2400. I'm selling this for $1800 (+shipping.)
If it doesn't go this week, I'm bringing it to Sax Day at MacNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN on Oct 16. If you want to check it out there, contact me first. The price will be higher to make up for the commission I'll have to pay. That is to say, I'll sell it to you at the lower price if I bring you there.
