As far as I`ve heared the Mark VI is the best sax ever, I`ve also heared they`ve stopped making it..
Is this true? If not, where can I find one and for how much?
Thanks...

THEY STOPPED MAKING IN EARLY 70`S. A I DISAGREE NOT ALL ARE THE GREATEST. QUALITY CONTROL BACK THEN WAS NOT VERY GOOD. SOME MARK 6 HORNS ARE KILLERS OTHERS ARE SLUGS. THAT HOLDS TRUE IN ALL HORNS. SELMER S NEWEST HORNS THE REF 36 AND 54 ARE GREAT. I BELIEVE THE NEW HORNS ARE MORE CONSISTENT AT BEING BETTER. THE ADVENT OF CAD IN HORNS AND THE PROGRESS MADE IN METALURGY HAS CONTINUED TO MAKE BETTER QUALITY HORNS AS A WHOLE. I HAVE A REF 36 THAT I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE A GREAT COMPANY LOCATE FOR ME. THIS HORN WAS CHOSEN OUT OF 12-15 HORNS AS BEING THE BEST HORN BY SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT PLAY ON A DAILY BASIS AND DO THIS FOR A LIVING. I LUCKED OUT IT IS PHENOMINAL. TRY SOME HORNS BEFORE YOU DROP 4-6K ON A SO CALLED MARK 6 WONDER HORN AND FIND THAT YOUR BEGGINERS BUNDY HAS A BETTER SOUND AND INTONATION THEN IT AND YOU HAVE TO TRY AND FIND SOME OTHER PERSON LOOKING FOR A NAME BRAND AND NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY ARE GETTING. CONTACT SAXQUEST AND TALK TO SYD IF YOU ARE LOOKING IT MIGHT TAKE A LITTLE BIT BUT HE WILL FIND WHAT YOU WANT AND SHOOT STRAIGHT NOT RIP YOU OFF.
