That change happen to me too. I am also a Sophmore in Hs and I switched from Alto to Tenor, however I audition to be in my school`s jazz band. I played my alto sax but when I made the band I notice it said Tenor sax. Yes, I to is so used to play the alto because it is smaller and alot easier to play with, especially I am a girl and I don`t to blow hard on, When they give the tenor, it was huge! I thought i can`t make a sound but I did but playing low notes like a low c , man that`s a killer. I also have a problem, I can`t solo even if my life depend it! Do You guys know any good websites that have like big sheet music that i can print out that have the B Flat major blue scale solo? That would Help out ALOT!!! =) Thanks

I have a site online all about the Tenor Saxophone. Tenor Sax Players, Tenor Sax CDs, Tenor Sax Lessons (very basic), Tenor Sax Fingering Chart Link to a good chart, Tenor Saxophone Questions and Answers and even a Virtual Tenor Sax that you can play to hear what those notes sound like.
I am a pro sax player, own all the saxes and pretty much LOVE the Tenor.
My Soundclips page will let you hear alot of different styles of Tenor Sax, both live and in the studio. They are all great fun but the Tenor is my voice when I play Sax.
