I have vandoren a28 mouthpiece, and i use soft 2 reeds... I dont "bite"... why it get noisily, when i jump from "d" to "a"? i know that when you overblow that "d", you can get "a" very easily, but why it overblow so easy? but i have other one mouthpiece (vandoren a25) and it works with 2 soft. Look this link and say something....
ps. What is different to bassclarinet reed and tenorsax reed?

It could be the mouthpiece or the sax. I`m not fimiliar with vad doran mouthpieces, if it is a plastic one, it needs to be replaced anyway, so try that. Otherwise, check for a cracked pad that moves when you play that.
